Can I look up NYC tickets by plate number?
Yes — the city’s NYCServ portal supports searching by plate, and shows every open violation attached to the vehicle. If you have the paper ticket, scanning it here also shows your deadline math and dismissal odds, which the official lookup does not.
What if I lost the paper ticket?
Use the official NYCServ search by plate number — tickets are attached to the vehicle’s registration, and camera violations are mailed to the registered owner. Unpaid tickets do not disappear with the paper.
Are camera tickets in the same lookup?
Yes — NYC’s Open Parking and Camera Violations records cover both. Camera tickets (school-zone speed, red light, bus lane) are owner-liability tickets with no license points, and they appear under the vehicle’s plate.
